Here’s how: Mix half a teaspoon of baking soda with a half a glass of water. Not only is baking soda inexpensive, but your mouth won’t be exposed to alcohol or harsh chemicals that are often found in commercial mouth rinses.
If you want to have minty fresh breath, consider adding a drop of peppermint or wintergreen oil.
Regardless of the recipe you concoct, natural mouth rinses won’t just freshen breath, but may help to prevent cavities and keep bacteria at bay.

Thank you so much for the recipe of a simple mouth fresher. However a picture of lemon was noted but not mentioned for the recipe. Can this also be added to the water?

Hi Diane. Our apologies. The picture of the lemon is in error. Lemons are acidic in nature so not generally recommended in a mouthwash. The recipe provided otherwise works well!
